Rights Clearance Manager Nomination
When a DeepEditor user (Requester) inputs an email for the Rights Clearance Manager, the email address will receive the following message.
Receiving a Consent Request
Step 1: When a DeepEditor user is ready to request consent, you will receive an email that resembles the following. Click "View Consent Request" to continue.
Step 2: Logging into the A.R.T. system.
If you'd like to log into the A.R.T. system directly, without using a link from an email, visit this webpage: https://flawless.art/
Enter the email address you want to use to create your Flawless account. You will receive a code to your chosen email address, which you can enter on the next screen:
Step 3: After signing in, you'll be led to a page that looks like this:
Watch the vub (visual dub) to make your assessment.
*Note: Currently the Requester cannot alter the "Summary Of Change" or "Details" content. The "no summary" and "no details" is automatically recorded in these fields. If you'd like to obtain this information from the Requester we suggest using another secure form of communication.
Use these controls to make the playback full screen or change the playback speed.
Step 3: Make your consent decision.
Choosing "This vub does not need consent":
This option is great for situations like blanket licensing deals or AI generated performers. Only choose this option if this and any future refinements of this vub does not need consent.
Choosing “This vub does/may need consent.”
This option is great for offline media for screenings or any situation where you know this won't be the final vub output but an unwatermarked download is needed.
When you choose the option "This vub does/may need consent", you will be prompted to answer another question.
Choosing "I already have consent."
This option is ideal for a few scenarios.

- When you have shown the Consenter the watermarked vub in person or through an outside file transfer system.
- You have consent to download an unwatermarked version until finalization.
Choosing "I need to get consent."
This option should be chosen if you need to get permission from the Consenter for download. When selecting this option you will be prompted to answer how you will obtain consent.
Choosing "I will use an offline process."
If you desire to show the consenting party outside of DeepEditor, you are welcome to do so! This is great for showing an actor and a director changes in context. You can download your new vub with a watermark and edit it into your timeline.
Once consent is received using an offline process go back to question #2 "How will consent for this vub be handled?" and select, "I already have consent".
Choosing "I will use the A.R.T. Consent App"
The Artistic Rights Treasury makes sending files very easy. Simply choose this option and you will see a "Submit and Open Consent Form" button appear.
Creating a Consent Request
Choosing "I will use the A.R.T. Consent App" and then clicking "Submit & Open Consent Form" in the Consent Questions form is the easiest way to create a Consent Request. You will be led to a page that looks like this:

- Navigate to the project you wish to create a Consent Request for.
- Click "Create new request"
- Then proceed to the following steps.
Step 1: Choose a Consenter.
Depending on your project and the amount of actors in your project you may have multiple Consenters for different shots. Use this drop down menu to choose which Consenter needs to be sent this specific request.
Don't see the Consenter listed? Click "Add them to the project first."

- Navigate to the project you wish to add members to.
- Click "Manage Members"
You will be led to the following webpage:
Under the "Invite new member" section, input the relevant information and role. Click "Save and invite member"
Note: This is also a great way to add additional Rights Clearance Managers if desired.
Step 2: Input reference, change and additional details.
After your new member is added, back in the consent request, fill in the relevant information in the form.
Be as detailed as possible about any changes made using DeepEditor.
Step 3: Send consent request.
Step 4: The consent request has been sent to the individual you nominated. You will be notified by email when the Consenter has approved or denied the request.
What Happens when the Consent Request is Approved?
The Requester will recieve an email with the subject line "DeepEditor - Consent Granted"
What if Consent is Denied?
Consent may be denied by the Constenter. If it is, the Requester will receive an email that looks like this:
