Token Use and Typical Workflow
Overview
In DeepEditor, tokens are credits used to create vubs. 1 face altered in a shot = 1 token.
There are two token types:
- Draft tokens: are used to generate Draft vubs for offline editorial workflows and idea testing. Draft tokens cost $30 and are NOT for commercial use.
- Final tokens: are used to generate Final vubs for online mastering and release workflows.

Distribution Scopes (Final Tokens)
The Final Token price is based on the commercial distribution scope, so you pay based on how widely your project will be released.
- Each Project has a single fixed Distribution Scope that must be chosen when creating a Final Vub for the first time.
- All Final tokens used in a project must match that project’s distribution scope.
- The distribution scope can be set in the Project Settings at any time.
- Once a Final vub has been triggered, the distribution scope for the project cannot be changed, so you should choose the most appropriate distribution scope based on the distribution plans for your project at the time.
- If the distribution scope for your project changes (e.g. from Regional to Worldwide Theatrical), contact support@flawless.app to discuss pricing.

Token Use and Typical Workflow
Draft Vubs
A draft vub is designed for offline editorial workflows, for example, when an editor wants to test whether a visual dub idea works creatively before locking a cut.
Use a draft vub when:
- You’re in the rough cut stage of an edit.
- You're using temp ADR for driving data.
- You’re evaluating how the new dialogue fits the edit.
- You're evaluating if the source plate and the driving data are compatible.
Workflow Guidance
Start with a Draft vub to validate your creative idea. Use this for editorial screenings or internal reviews. At the draft stage, the question to ask is:
“Has the vub worked? Does it look like the actor is delivering the new dialogue?”
Once the vub has been approved and included in the picture lock, it can be upgraded to a Final vub. Confirm the project's distribution. Use this for your final delivery.
Final Vubs
A Final vub is designed for theatrical releases, streaming platforms, and television. These vubs meet industry delivery specifications for mastering and distribution.
Final vubs require online resolution source media (e.g., original camera media or ACES .exr image sequences).
When your source footage is 12-bit or 16-bit, DeepEditor will train and render the vub at full bit depth, maintaining maximum image fidelity.
