Downloading vs exporting
In DeepEditor, exporting refers to the creation of an downloadable output file - a MOV, MXF, MP4 or EXR sequence of your vub, or a VFX Turnover Package.
Downloading in DeepEditor refers simply to the downloading of the exports from DeepEditor to your file system.
Note: You are only charged a token when generating a vub; you can export and download as many times as you like with no additional token cost.
If you are looking to download EXR files or the VFX Turnover package(only available for Final quality vubs), see Exporting and Downloading EXRs and How to Export a VFX Turnover Package.
Checking export status
To check the status of your export, go to the Exports tab and check the Status column.

Once the 'Status' reads Completed, you can download your file.
Downloading your vub
Downloads will automatically go to whatever location you have defined in your Google Chrome settings. Use the dropdown menu in the top right of your browser (the three 'dots'), choose Settings then Downloads.
If your export does not require artist consent you will see Not Required in the Consent status and you can download without a watermark immediately.

Typical reasons for consent not being required are:
- your project type is set to Localisation
- the Rights Clearance Manager for your project has set consent as not being required for the vub type (Draft/Final) that you have exported (as per ART for Rights Clearance Managers).
Requesting consent
If artist consent is required to download your export without a watermark, you will see the Consent status as Request not sent:

To request consent:
-
Click on Download No Watermark (Needs Consent). You will see this pop-up window:

-
Click Send Request and the Rights Clearance Manager will receive an email requesting action by them to obtain approval.
-
The Rights Clearance Manager and Rights Holder will be able to review the vub and approve or deny the use of the vub. While in the hands of the Rights Clearance Manager, the Consent Status of your Export will change to Request Sent:

-
If the Rights Clearance Manager used A.R.T. to send the vub to the Rights Holder, the consent status of your export will now say Awaiting Review:

-
When the Rights Clearance Manager and Rights Holder have approved your request, you will receive an email confirming that permission to download without a watermark has been granted.

-
On the Exports page, the Consent status of your export will now show as Approved and you can now download without a watermark.

If the export you are downloading is an EXR image sequence or a VFX Turnover package, then the download will take place via Media Shuttle. See below for guidance.
Downloading EXRs & VFX Turnover Packages
Downloading EXR image sequences and VFX Turnover Packages takes place using Media Shuttle. On selecting to download, you will be presented with one of these dialogs:

-
Select Proceed to Media Shuttle.
Note: When you try to download via Media Shuttle for the first time, you might get a message saying that the link is still being generated and you should come back again later. The link will typically be ready within a minute, so if you click the Download No Watermark button again, you can proceed.
-
You will then be able to select Download from the Media Shuttle portal:
