Face Merge
If you have vubs of more than one character in the same shot, you need to merge these vubs together to create a single vubbed export.
To do this you need to have first exported each vub individually. The face merge feature then allows you to merge the exported vubs into one combined output using the Merge multiple exports button.
Note at the time of writing, the Merge multiple exports option is currently only available in the web app and is not yet supported in the Avid Media Composer Extension.
How to Use the Face Merge Feature

On the Exports tab for your shot, select the exports you’d like to merge using the checkboxes on the left.

Select Merge multiple exports on the top right.

You will then see a confirmation dialogue with a summary of the exports to be merged, listing the color space and quality level and providing you with export options.

Your merged result will appear as a new export in the Exports tab.
Note: you will get an error if you try to merge:
- Vubs of the same character
- Vubs of different quality levels
- Vubs from different Source media
- An already merged export with any other export
